Individual therapy provides a confidential space to explore your thoughts, process difficult emotions, and develop practical skills for managing life’s challenges. Is Individual Therapy Right for You?

You may benefit from individual therapy if you are experiencing persistent worry or anxiety, deep sadness or depression, difficulty coping with major life changes, traumatic memories that continue to affect you, unhealthy relationship patterns, anger or stress that feels overwhelming, or a desire for personal growth and deeper self-understanding.

What to Expect

In your first session or two, you and your therapist will get to know one another as you share about your reasons for seeking treatment and about your background and history. Your therapist will share observations about symptoms, patterns and solutions, and together you will develop your treatment goals. You will also decide on the frequency of your treatment, typically weekly or biweekly sessions at the outset of treatment, tapered over time as you see improvements.
